Shelli Vaughan served as the coach of the Notre Dame de Sion Dance Team for 23 years. During her coaching tenure, Shelli's team achieved competitive success, including back-to-back High Kick Championship wins at the UDA National Dance Team Championship and 15 Missouri State Division Championships. In 2020, she was nominated for "Coach of the Year" by the National Dance Team Coaches Association. In 2023, Shelli was honored as a “Kansas City Royals Blue KC Coaches with Character” recipient. Currently, Shelli works as a special education teacher and is involved with dance teams across multiple states, focusing on kick and pom technique, competition choreography, and routine cleaning. Additionally, she serves as a judge at dance team competitions. Shelli’s passion for the dance team world remains as strong as it was when she began her journey in 2000.
